The Elon University women's track and field program captured its first-ever outdoor conference championship at the Colonial Athletic Association Outdoor Championships on May 2. The feat was the Phoenix's first-ever team conference championship as Elon's first CAA team title in its first year in its new league. The maroon and gold had five athletes earn individual conference championships in six events with Kimberly Johansen standing out with victories in the both the 800-meters and 1,500-meters and earning the CAA Most Outstanding Athlete of the Meet. Emily Dixon (heptathlon), Jen Esposito (400-meter hurdles), Bryanna Hames (discus) and Tereza Novotna (3,000-meter steeplechase) also won championships in their respective events.
